The Next Chix-Only Ride

The next chix-only ride will be held Saturday, November the 29th. So far we've had two girls-exclusive rides and have had a lot of fun riding the trails at Loftus and talking all things mountain bike. This upcoming ride will be at Menai and we'll test out the technical skills on the looser, rockier trails. The ride will be at a leisurely pace and we'll have lots of time to stop and practice the trickier parts without being rushed by the boys.

The details are as follows:
Ride: Chix only Menai Ride
Date / Time: Saturday 29th of November, leaving time (tba - contact Clare), allow 2-3hrs of ride time
Meeting Point: Barden Ride Oval
How to get there: Driving along the Old Illawarra Road, Menai, turn left at the big roundabout, pass Lucas Height Community College on your right.Barden Ridge Oval is on the right hand side.
Route Description: We'll take a more cross-country orientated course around Menai. Expect 40% fire-trail, 60% single track. There is something for everyone at Menai. We will cover just about every terrain type with sections of rocky fire trail, smooth sections of single track, sandy patches and small drop offs. There will be a few short sections of hike-a-bike but that's all part of the fun.

Chix Ride - Rescheduled to Saturday 20th of September

Because of the rain last weekend the Chix ride has been rescheduled to Saturday September the 20th. The details are the same as below.

Chix Ride

The first official Metro chix-only ride will be held next weekend on Saturday, September the 6th. This is a great opportunity for new and current female club riders of all abilities to meet up for a leisurely social ride.

The details are as follows:
Ride: Chix only Loftus ride
Date / Time: Saturday 6th of September, 8.00am leaving time, allow 2-3hrs of ride time
Meeting Point: Loftus Oval car park
How to get there: Driving South along the Princess Hwy, Loftus Oval is on the left hand side just after you cross the tram tracks and just before the Audley, Royal National Park turn-off.
Route Description: In general the tracks are fun without being too technical. The area has a mix of fire trails (80%) and single track (20%) to ride. The route on the day will depend on who turns up and how everyone feels.
